FNBO Signature CLI

I applied for FNBO on 9/12/2022, got a HP on Experian, and recorded that HP on my master spreadsheet. Today 9/13/2023, I erased the HP notation from the spreadsheet and thought, "Am I eligible for a CLI?"

I called (888) 295-5540. I entered the last 4 digits of the card number and the last 4 digits of my social.

I pressed * to skip to the main menu.

I pressed 5 for more options.

I pressed 5 again for all other options.

After 30 seconds, I was speaking to a live representative. I asked whether I was eligible for a CLI.

She asked what my monthly housing payment was.

She asked whether I rented or owned.

She read a long disclosure that I didn't have to include alimony, child support, etc., etc., and then asked what my gross annual income was.

About 5 seconds later, she said I was elible for a $5,000 CLI. She asked whether I wanted it.

I said, "Yes, please."

This brings my FNBO SL up to $15,400, a number that is higher than any other credit card CL that I have.

Vantage West and Mountain America are at 15,000 each.

Total SL $200,300.
Total revolving debt: $15,664.33

Usage: 7.8%

Total debt — all sources: $413,775

Total of original amount owed + CL: $738,610.02

FICO 9 according to FNBO: 780

Length of time revolving accounts have been established

Ratio of balance to limit on bank revolving or other rev acts is too high

I believe it is the Visa Signature card. It looks like the secured card, but it isn't secured. It only gives 1 percent cash back. I was going to wait until the balance was completely paid off, then ask to be upgraded to the Evergreen version to get the 2 percent cash back.

Edit: When I clicked on the rewards terms & conditions it said: Maximum Rewards®

Thanks! I have the Evergreen myself, which was just upgraded to a Visa Signature, so I was curious.

It's kind of silly. They sent me a physical letter that talks about how the upgrade is "at no cost to you", and "comes with the benefits you currently enjoy, such as Roadside Dispatch and new added benefits, such as Signature Concierge Service". Except it's not "such as", because that's the entire list of network benefits. There was 1, and now there's 1 more. It's clearly boilerplate leftover from the days before they stripped away almost all the network benefits.

But even if the real reason for the upgrade was the increased swipe fees, it's still a good cashback card. Hopefully they'll be able to product change yours into one.
