It is actually a really interesting city to spend some time in if you are interested in the history and culture of places.
I've got it on my slow travel roster to spend a few months in when I retire in a few years.

I do enjoy history and culture.
My father was born in Arendal Norway and the family migrated over here a few years after the Nazis were out of the country.
I joke with my family that Arendal should be called Yourfreezingyour#ssoffastan
Beautiful city and country to see.
My daughter is currently on a three week tour through Europe and I just received some beautiful pics from her from the waterfalls and crystal lakes in Croatia.
Her Mother is with her and she was born in China.
It's a very small world truth be told,and I love seeing all of it.
The warmer places as I age appeal to me more.

I like warmer too, definitely will do a wheel around SE asia and Pacific islands.
The Phillipines is a good place to base out of when traveling that region, just a short flight to lots of places. Can be very budget friendly, and the road signs are in English.
