I have been denied for the last 2 years and today I got approved for a Blue Cash Everyday for $500, so I applied for a Delta Gold and had to call, but got approved for $1000. I know they are lower limits, but I can grow them. How does the 3x Limit work again?

Good for you, I didn't even consider an Amex card because I figured my score are too low. What was your scores when you applied?

Congrats.   Im too chicken to try even though my EX just hit 705.

I had a chargeoff with them back in 2011 that I paid off in 2015.

If they have blacklisted you they will straight up deny you without a HP but if you are off that list which you should be partly because you paid and your scores are in 700s. Give it a try, you may get lucky.
