Re: Finally Got Approved For Ebates Visa Signature Card!!!!

So I have to ask ... no disrepect but what's the rational/reason for so many cards? A hobby? A status deal/bragging rights ... sort of like how many friends one has on Facebook or followers on Twitter? You really need that many because you spend so much?

I don't know about Ron (yet), but I know I also have quite a few cards, stored in a book form, and each card often has a specific purpose, discount, or rebate that applies to it....   I love my credit union issued credit cards, but there are many banks that offer special incentives for specific reasons. I'm wavering between a few options myself, not wanting to spook Barclays who just decided to open a UPromise MC, with the multiple offers I have crossing my desk, almost one every day...

I was a little frustrated, for example, when my ebay mastercard didn't populate into my profile in time for an ebay purchase. But, the 2% points on grocery is useful while I'm running other spending through my Amex Blue Cash to get it up to the $6.5k threshold...

I actually used the UPromise MC to take their 5% discount (through their portal) even though I have the Target Visa, because TD is tight with CLs on their Target offering. There is some struggle deciding sometimes which promotion or rebate is best...  but even though I have the UPromise MC and the MyPoints Visa, the ebates Visa is on my radar because I will be shopping online, and the extra rebate is gravy for those things I'd be buying anyway.

I was going to garden... Honest!
