If you have a need for a charge card, Green, Gold or Platinum, they will more than likely give you one of those as well. The underwriting is earier on those cards so if you got a revolver you will more than likely get approved for the charge card as well. The charge card is handy in my opinion for reimburseable business expenses...and I have a lot. If you don't, then it may not be of a benefit to you. I have read that if you apply for a second Amex fairly quickly they may use the same pull for the revolver...but YMMV.
