Hi everyone!
Have been lurking and reading for a long time... and have learned a lot! Continue to learn as well. This forum has been a great influence and I have really improved my FICO scores.
Prior to the spree, I had an EX of 724. I'm not sure of EQ or TU. Just recently had some errors fixed from my EX credit report. Working on getting an open collection from 2007 resolved on my TU credit report; for now, I chose to stick to EX or EQ lenders as they were my strongest scores. Utilization was in the single digits. These were my cards--
Chase Freedom- $1.5k (from 2008)
Discover IT- $950 (from 2007)
Best Buy - $2500 (from 2009)
Capital One Quicksilver- $500 (from 12/13)
I went to a Citi branch today to open an account. While I was there, I inquired about the TY cards. The promo offer was not as good in the branch as online, but for some reason I felt that in the branch would make some difference. I was floored when...
Citi TY Premier- Approved! $6.5k
Then, I got brave! I decided to go home and work on my app spree that I had been planning on the past few months as I was gardening my scores. Here are the results:
AMEX Green- Approved!
AMEX BCP- Approved! $2k
Chase CSP- Approved! $6k
I also applied for a CU credit card from a small employer CU. Everything they do is manual, so I am waiting to hear on the results of that app. It was my last one, and admittedly the least important to me.
I can't believe in one day I got approved for four cards, adding $14,500 in available credit. I was thrilled when it was all over. Still smiling! A few months ago, none of this would have been possible. I am quite happy with the results. I can't even think of another card I'd want to add anytime soon! Definitely going to garden all of these cards correctly.
Some questions--
What are the chances of getting any of these cards expedited? I am planning on traveling 5/24-5/30 and I would like to put some spend on these new cards.
I was added as an AU on an AMEX back in 2004. Could I backdate my new cards to that 2004 date? The account I was an AU on has since been closed. How do I go about doing that? Before or after the card arrives?
Should I bother with trying for a CLI on my Freedom card with the same HP from the CSP? Is it worth another one?
Fantastic run! If you can try to get a CLI without a new HP, I say go for it!
Congrats!
congrats
Nice run, congrats
With the MSD on Amex I think if you were AU in 04 that is the date it can be set at, probably do it at activation, not sure though. There is no using the same HP at Chase for anything, every request is a new HP.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
