First Navy Card!

I decided to apply for my first card with NFCU this evening. I've been a member since March of 2023. I've got a nominal amount in my savings account and monthly deposit less than $50.

 

After reading the forums, I learned that the SL on the first card could be lower than with on the 2nd card, so I decided to apply for the Cash Rewards card. I have a few cash back cards so I figured I could use this card for padding.

 

I submitted my app and got an instant approval of $25K. This is the highest SL I've ever received on a card.

 

Thanks to the forums for educating this lifelong credit builder!

 

Datapoints: I've been on ice for over two years but I got caught up in the Fingerhut to Fetti debaucle so I got a "new" card in April 2022.
