First Post! 2 Cap 1 Approvals!!

This is my first post, I have been lurking for awhile. As with many I made dumb decisions in my 20s (my ex-husband was the big one lol) and never felt I could get back on track. Well I starrted with a 574 in November and am up to a 618/617 CK and a 641 Cap 1 Credit Tracker. I am seriously thinking I should get my real FICO scores. At any rate I do not have any credit card debt or auto debt (paid my car off in May) just ALOT of student loans and my mortgage. I have had a secured Cap 1 card with a $200 limit forever and decided to try for the Cap 1 QS1 to my surprise I was approved for $3000!! After a little more research I also applied for the Cap1 Platinum and was approved for $2000. I am so excited! I don't plan to apply for anything eles, just work on using the QS1 as a debit to build up my limits, and earn cash back. Use the platinum on bill pay for my car insurance only and pay them off bi weekly before my balance is reported so I can have utilization between 1-9%.  I so wish when I got to college someone would have educated me on loans and credit. At any rate I added my 18 year old son to my platinum so he can build his credit and enter the world with a good start. Thank you all for your posts and tidbits. I hope to be in the 650s by the end of the year!!

QS1 has been a great card for me. So great I had my wife apply and get one. Her credit is wrecked so she only got a 500sl but we will fix her credit soon.

Call or Email EO and they will eat your AF for a year.
