First Tech FCU!

Applied for the Odyssey card with First Tech last night, got a call in the morning from what I presume to me a UW, after verifying Identity 50,000 approval.

Asked to send last months bank statement, via email link, did so and got the call for 50k approval.

First, BIG CONGRATS on such a massive CL!!!

Question--  did they ask for last month's bank statement or Proof of Income (POI)? I could be wrong but it seems highly unusual to ask for bank statement. What would it show?

Anyone else here has had any experience with First Tech FCU?

Largest limit other then this is currently 47k, AAoA is 2.7 yrs, just got a Langley card for 15k and BCU for 20k these past few days.


And yes I sent them a bank statement with Electronic deposits and UW called and confirmed the limit and approval.

Bank statements actually aren’t that unusual. Both Best Egg and Security Service FCU wanted to see my direct deposit amounts for the prior three months to verify my income as stated on the applications. Best Egg for a personal loan, SSFCU for a credit card. 

Its a way to verify estimated annual income without crossing the line into asking for tax returns - people are far more likely to give statements than to give tax returns.

Congrats on monster approval !!

I was approved for first tech Odyssey WE in October, for 25,000 SL lowest limit for the card.
I had to send POI as well, they wanted previous year tax return and 2 current PayStu’b’s since my current income is a lot more then last year TR.
