After some careful gardening and some great info I got from the community on the FordPass FNBO Visa I was ready to apply for the card, knowing it would just be a HP on my Experian (which only had 2 inq in 2 years). Not sure what the score was that they pulled, but my Experian is around 720 (utilization 9%, income $140k). I have a 2020 Ford F150 and already have a FordPass account, but hadn't received any "offers" prior.
Congrats You're Approved for $11,300! There wasn't anything else to click to review interest rate or any other details, just a button to take me back to my FordPass account. Not worried about interest rate since I won't carry a balance on this card ever unless maybe Promo financing.
The reasons I chose to get this card are the bonus $100 statement credit after 3 month spend of $3000 (not life changing, lol) then the $200 annual statement credit for spending $6000 each 12 months. Between the $200 annualy and the points I'll earn off using the card for Ford Oil changes (10pts per $1) and then Gas and Dining (3pts per $1), I calculated I'd earn about enough for 3 FREE oil changes per year (which are about $120 each with a motor that takes 8.8quarts of Synthetic oil).
My first card with First National Bank of Omaha and I'm happy with the SL which is right around my other highest limits.
BONUS CLI on my Walmart Capital One card. This card is the only card I have below a $5000 limit, it was opened about 16 months ago at $500, then 6 months ago I applied for a CLI and they granted me with a $100 bump to $600. Today I requested a CLI again and was blessed with ANOTHER BUMP OF $100 TO $700!!! I guess I'll buy a round of Dr Thunders for the community to celebrate!! I still like that card, I've earned a couple of $25 restaurant gift cards from my Walmart purchases in the past year, but c'mon man, lol.
As always, Thanks for everyone's input and data that helped with my approvals.
Instant approval and healthy SLs, I luv 'em!
Congratulations on your Ford Pass Visa approval!
...and congratulations on your Walmart CLI too! 👏 👏 👏
Congratulations on your FNBO Visa Approval and respectable SL.
They are fantastic! Had their card accounts for years. Be advised you can call in every 4 months and ask if your account qualifies for a soft pull CLI and they will be able to assure you either way. Nice effort, good bank.
Really interesting way to award points as a Ford owner. Also the $200 credit basically free every year seems like a no brainer. What an insane card. I wonder how long they'll offer this since the honey seems suspiciously too sweet. Seems like a great card nonetheless.
