I have been GTE Financial member since 2016. Haven't been active member at all after joining(I mean I didn't use any of their products like checking a/c) . May be once apped for their CC and denied due to excessive inquiries at that time. Kept membership active by logging in once in a month atleast.
Yesterday just out of the blue apped for their CC and evening got a call from their rep asking me to unfreeze my EQ report. I did and sent them message confirming it.
Today one more rep called and did some identity verification and asked how much limit I am looking for. Since I knew they are pretty conservative, I said 10,000. Later when I checked the app, it said approved for 10K!!!! They didn't ask me for to upload any document. After a while, I received confirmation email too saying I was approved for Go To Card(https://www.gtefinancial.org/products/go-to) 10K @ 6.74% apr.
I have around 5 to 8 inquiries on my EQ report, utility less than 1%. Apart from this opened another 6 CU cards in the last one month.
