I know this goes against what most people would do but I gave in and asked for a CLI from CHASE for my Freedom card. I got the card in Nov 2014 and got an auto CLI to from $2k to $4k a few weeks ago. I felt like that wasn't enough so I requested a CLI to $10k and was APPROVED! I've been rebuilding for a while and now I'm finally reaping the benefits. This is what I have so far:
BofA Cash Rewards $10k
CHASE Freedom $10k
AMEX ED $10,500
Amazon Sore Card $5k
Care Credit $4,800
Capital One QS One (No annual fee) $2,500. I'm going to try to get CAP1 to join suit and grant me $10k limit but I have to wait until the end of the month when the 6 months since CLI expires.

Congrats on your new limit.
You have some good limits overall. Personally I wouldn't have asked for a high limit on Freedom; it doesn't give me extra cashback beyond the 1.5k per quarter. Having a signature might help with special promotion etc. But nevertheless good for you.
Do you mind sharing your credit profile? Scores, AAoA etc?

I asked for that limit so that I have a ton of cushion for utiization. I almost never carry a balance now anyway but I just wanted my cards to grow so that I can see I'm in the good credit category.
Sure, my scores in my sigs are my most updated scores, AAoA is about 2 years, I have 0 baddies and no PR's, I've never missed a payment on anything, I paid off a car loan, got a new car loan now, I have student loans I'm paying and that's pretty much it.

Thanks !
My scores are 20-30 points lower than yours across the board. I've thought of asking Chase for more but never really followed through with the HP. Saving the HPs because EX has been hit a bit too much - 4 new Chase cards, Cash+, Cap One... needs to recuperate ![]()
My AAoA is a bit lower. I have 3 accounts from Chase with a total CL of $14.7k. I'm hoping by the end of the year, they'll probably offer a couple of CLIs and take it to 16-18k. In any case I'll probably consolidate the lines into at most two - and that should be enough limit for me ![]()
Right now, I'm in the process of getting the Freedom to VS. Not sure if that'll happen; Chase's customer service (SM) seems awfully slow these days. Not meeting the 24 hour cycle at all. Won't call because I'd rather take a no on SM than on the phone ![]()
Congrats! You have a very nice line-up.
Congrats on the CLI!
Congrats! I think pushing for CLIs early on can be worth it, especially if you aren't looking to add more credit lines. I for one am done with HP CLIs since I never exceed 2% utilization.
Congrats...I am hesitant to ask for a CLI on my CSP because I don't want to waste a HP on a low CLI. Anything less than a 2x increase would not be worth it for me.
Nice.. Congrats..
