I used to have a Platinum MC rewards from HSBC until Capital One bought them out and the card became a Quicksilver card with the same $20K limit.
I thought HSBC did not issue CC in the US anymore since Cap one bought them out, but I was able to at their website
So I applied and after about a week, I signed into my online account with them (have online checking and savings with them but just keep $100 in their to maintain that account), and this morning . . . .
My new HSBC Mastercard account appeard, looks like I got approved but the credit line is a stingy $2,750 but at least I got my foot in the door again.
(you have to be an existing HSBC customer to apply, I happened to have open an online checking and online savings account with them, no min bal or monthly fees, so free to have open)
Congrats! Benefits of the card?

Cngrats! I always liked HSBC and they treated me well. I even asked them to keep my HSBC AX $10K CL and 7.9% purchases and my HSBCE Platinum MasterCard Cash with $7.5 CL and 13.9% purchases. No luck. Closed them immediately as I did not want to deal with Capital One.
