Heads up-Discover it Secured CLI

I've had my discover it secured for about 2 weeks now. Maybe less. I only opened it with a $200 limit but I've been trying to take advantage of the rewards going on right now. However I've been going crazy because of how fast $200 goes away and you can only pay what has posted, not what is pending. Example: I make a $30 payment because I'm maxed out and that is what has posted and my pending payments total $170.

So I called this morning and even though my first statement hasn't cut (it said you need to wait for your first statement to cut to request a secured CLI), I requested and the guy asked me a few questions and put it through. It was very unexpected so I didn't have a lot of cash available. But yay an extra $200 CL that will post within 8 days. I'm sure it's a YMMV situation. But another amazing experience with Discover!

I added money to my secured line the same week I got my card in August. They said my max was 2500. It's sitting at 750 right now. Might add some more next week. I called the secured card department and they asked about salary etc etc and additional funding was approved. Posted to my acocunt in less than 8 days.

No..you have to add your own funds. They dont give us CLI's like the regular cards.
