Looking for some advice or best practices for Chase Recon or what I should do. I applied yesterday for the Chase CSP, received instant approval for $5000 SL, enrolled in online banking etc...Closed browser windows, cleared history & cookies. Went back to Chase and apped for the Freedom Unlimited (about 3 min apart) Received the 7-10 Day Message. I called in to Chase and spoke to a lady about the CSP & having it expedited, after that I asked her about the Freedom Unlimited App and she said it was still processing. I've been checking the status line and it keeps saying it's in review? Should I call in? Call UW/Credit Analyst??? Really want both cards to use for UR points?
How many new accounts do you have in the past 24 months, including the CSP you just opened?
2 new accounts in 24 months - Barclaycard 3/2016 & Credit Union Visa in 6/2015...nothing else has reported yet...these were the first 2 apps in an app spree..
Okay, that's good. No worries about 5/24. Does the app status line say 7-10 days, two weeks, or 30 days? If the first, it isn't good. If the second or third, wait it out.
Robo Lady says "Your Application is being reviewed. We will notify you of our decision within 7-10 days" ...then it tells me about the CSP Approval etc...

7-10 message isn't necessarily a dealbreaker. I've had success with Chase even with that message. You may have set off a flag in Chase's system since you applied within minutes of the other card. Just be patient. You can always call lending and speak with them, they are actually pretty nice the one's I've talked to anyway. Good luck!

Update - decided to call in and speak w a human being. Application was declined...transferred to Analyst...said that was declined for too many new accounts with Chase (CSP that was instantly approved before I applied for the Freedom) - I didn't try to recon since I figured I had gotten enough out of this spree.
