I just got the Ascend card myself and they gave me 2k which would have been a total PITA to knock out the SUB in short order so before i even got the card in the mail i transferred over some limit from my ED. I just confirmed the card today and the additional limit is there waiting on me.

I would suggest moving some limit to the new card before your next cli (180 days as mentioned) to bump up your next 3x. Remember to keep the new requested limit under the threshold for doc requests and income verificiation...i think its 25k.

Edit: Devil is correct about the donor card needing to be 12 months old for limit transfers.
