Since I also stay at Hilton properties frequently for business travel, I pulled the trigger on the AMEX HHonors Surpass card this evening. The 80,000 bonus points offer (AF not waived) convinced me!
Got instant approval despite the fact that AMEX declined my apps for both the Platinum and Gold cards. Guess I'll be staying at more Hiltons next year!
