@gdale6 wrote:I think Chase has lost their mind with those high APRs, they never used to have such all were typically fixed for a certain card. Guess the profit bug grabbed them too...
Yes, it's a very high APR, @gdale6. It's worth noting, though, that the advertised APR range right now for that card is "14.99% - 22.99% variable APR." OP alluded to a large number of applications in 24 months and gave no data points on FICO, utilization, etc. So the 23.74% is on the high end of the range for that card and of course the approval APR would depend on overall profile. Chase never impresses me with their APRs, though. They always charge a premium compared to several of my other bank cards.

@NoMoreE46 wrote:... Yea it appears that the 5/24 rule is not enforced now.
Yes, @NoMoreE46, but important to note that the Amazon card has been an exception to 5/24 rather than the rule! There are recent examples of members who tested the waters on other Chase cards only to get denials when over 5/24.

A few data points. TU and EXP were pulled. Both scores are low 700s (704, 713). 3% utilization. No BK and collections. I hope this is helping.

Knew I was well over the 5/24 golden rule but it doesn't seem to apply here. Very surprised at the CL 👍 and APR 👎. But I always PIF so no real worry. My Sync Prime Store Card will spend the rest of its days in my beloved sock drawer and I'm off the garden. Next card, the CSP!
Congratulations. Good card ![]()

im glad that Chase and Amazon are continuing their relationship and hope it lasts indefinitely.
I am one that tried approval OVER and right at 5/24 and was denied very fast. Now that I'm under Ive prequalified and back in good graces with Chase.
