When applying for CC how current is the score or reports that are seen by said CC. Trying to decide to apply or wait.....
On myfico have EQ686 TU575 EX691...... Now on CK I had the same TU score until a couple of days ago, it reported a UTL drop and 1 collection was removed and is now reporting TU656..... What will the CC companies see.....thinking about going for Barclays Rewards and Discover It (got a invite but threw it away 2 weeks ago).
I currently have Cap1 6 mos 500CL and have a Credit 1 13mos 700CL and 3 inqs. all over 6mos old.
Thanks

It'll be today's score.
Only SP CLI use old SP or reports or possibly Amex and other such if they have an old report and are a CURRENT card holder and you apply for there card, they might SP you as well from an old report. With a bank you don't have a relationship with it will be current.
Whatever is the latest that has been reported to the CRAs. So, if CK has picked up a change, so will a hard inquiry to your CR.
Thanks for quick responses...... answers make perfect sense!
I Once read an article that indicated each person can have up to 100 different credit scores so best not to rely on the scores too much. what's in your credit file is much more of a factor. Lenders use a completely different scoring model the gp will never see. Confusing stuff.

The standard set of FICO's is the best point of view where you stand though.
And it's never just the score that gets the approval.
Scores just give you a basic guideline where you stand is all. if you have a 600 score obviously you most likely screwed up somewhere as a 700 score most ikely you haven't had any mess up's in quite some time. Just a guage is al

I wouldn't go that far with 700.
I'm a horse's hair from 700 on at least one of my reports (Okay, maybe not that close, but 686..). I did some very naughty things over 6 years ago though.
700 can still indicate credit damaged at one point or another. I'd say 720+ is moreso the breakpoint.
As a point my recent approval score on my amex was 772 with the lender and 709 with Walmart, 715 with discover and cs gives me a 635 as you can see with me those scores are all over the place.
