I was being denied on Inq's, which I thought was a bit silly considering I'm very well capitalized in cash savings, investments and other holdings along with a very high income.  I cancelled my BCE, and applied monthly (though one of the applications was a recon attempt). I was planning on calling the EO, but glad I don't have to anymore.  

FICO per Amex website was 704 at the time though that was due to a point drop from paying off and closing a mortgage.

I forgot the rule, is it a soft pull if your declined? hard pull if your accepted? (when you already have a card I mean)
