My car was totaled because someone rear ended me at stoplight and I have always done used cars but for me that was not an option. I did that for affordability which is NOT the case right now. A used car would have cost me roughly the same.
So I got a loan and they approved me through ICCU. When I called ICCU to sign up they informed me I could sign up with a credit card. I said I wanted the premier rewards and was approved with the same HP used for the car.
My card is premier rewards, 5000 credit limit, and APR 12.74
My credit score was 772 at the time of application. No derogatory accounts and good payment history. 2 other credit cards (not anymore after recent approvals) and credit age was 2 years.
