I need to buy some furniture so I decided to try getting the Comenity Ikea Projekt card. 2 days ago I opened the Ikea credit cards page to try to prequalify for it, but there was no apply or prequalify button for any Ikea card. The FAQ confusingly says "Yes, you can get pre-qualified for the IKEA Projekt Credit Card in the mail in approximately 10 business days." but turns out I had to disable my firewall (pfBlockerNG) and the buttons appear. After filling my info, I prequalified for $9000 SL. I also got an identity alert from "Alliance Data" on Experian.
Today I decided to get the card, so I tried the prequalification again (just in case the algorithm is different when cold-apping), and prequalified for the same SL. This time I finished the application, and got the full $9000 SL. I didn't get a confirmation email or SMS. No temporary card number like some banks, and it looks like I can't create an online account without the card so all I can do is wait. HP on Experian.
