Congradulations and welcome to Amex Magnet club, I love this card!

Just an update, it has been 61 days since I got this Amex card. Went over to the website today, asked for a 3X increase, immediately went from 2k to 6K limit. Very nice.

Congrats on the Amex... and Discover..
Lets comment on Miss Disco shall we....
You did great coming out of the gate for Discover... Use it, pay it, dont ask for anything for at least 3 statements and wait a few days .. id wait a week after your third statement... Then if she doesn't hit you up first with some Auto-Luv ... hit her up with the CLI button =)...
If she does hit you up first with an autocli.. then you can try the famous/infamous Double Dip....
after you get the autocli... you go in.. and hit the CLI button ..... and if your lucky.. Discover will sweeten what they already gave you with a little extra helping of CL.... sometimes it doesnt work. but it isnt for a lack of trying.. and its a SP.. so its twice as nice..
As to keeping the Amex... I would. in fact. I just apped for one... It seems to be targeted to the "new to amex" crowd that doesn't necessarily want or need or can readily use travel points and dealing with travel rewards is an artform onto itself... Really think its a product meant to open up folks to Amex's other services... Know of a forum member on here that just got offered one of their Personal Loans... which are a really competitive product and often easier to get than say a personal loan from a bank or even Marcus.... Though they do seem to be targeted more toward debt consolidation... but have really competitive APRs as well..
And as folks have already beaten me to the punch on... Its very likely that that Amex will get some attention in the 61 or so days ... or if not 91 days.... as long as your credit scores are stable and/or climbing.. =) Argh i didnt see the last page of posts.. You already scored the 3x CLI... Congratulations
-J
