Called DC for my elite card status.. and found out it was approved as well, and the card wont ship until Dec 1st or 2nd because they ran out of cards...due to high demand .........

Yes, check that! I applied mid-late October and just got my letter today. Denied for "Unable to verify address". I called immediately and a nice lady named Susan told me that my address didn't match my TU report. I told her that's impossible. She put me on hold, came back and asked me to fax address verification and they would "reconsider". I'm not holding my breath, but I did fax the info to them.
