So Capital One just let me re-open a Kohl's Card with them even though it's only been 90 days since discharge. Before my Bankruptcy, my Kohl's card was oldest line of credit. I opened it when I was 18 years old and my limit was at $3,000. However, my new account is only $300, but I won't complain. I'm just happy they're willing to let me open an account with them again so soon. I burned Capital One for about $9,000 in my BK7.
I shop at Kohl's pretty frequently, about once a month whenever I get a coupon. I wanted to know what the expectations would be about getting my credit limit back up to around $3,000 again?
I can't speak for expectations of CLI's, but congratulations on your approval!
Congrats! I was approved right after BK with a $300 limit as well. I asked for a CLI (they are soft pull) and was bumped to $700 after six months! You'll get there!
Congratulations on your Kohl's approval! 🥂🎉 I also started at $300 and now I'm at $3K and was recently converted to the Kohl's Visa by CapOne. All CLI were soft pulls as well. There is life after BK.
Congrats on the approval and getting back in with Cap One!
That’s Terrific!! Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
Grats, 300 is the normal SL for this card even with no BK on file.. You will get the 3K again at some point

CONGRATS!!!!!
I burned Cap 1 for about 5k in my 2019 bk7. in sept 2020 they gave me a Kohl's card with a 300 sl. That card is now a 7k Visa. I requested a cli every 6 months or so via the link on my payment page. the link shows up every 6 months or so. I got steady cli's until the card cl was 3k and then they hiked it without a request to 7k and converted it to a visa. I always had a balance on the card and usually paid 2 or 3 times the minimum. I made regular purchases with the card, ymmv.
Congratulations 🎉 on your Kohl's approval. I'm sure with regular use and PIF it will grow back to where it was before you to long.
