Hello all I got a question but also got some good news too lol

i got approved for the kohl's store card yesterday I been playing with the prequal online for a couple weeks and got approved for a low $300 yay me 🤣🤣

but my real question is I got blacklisted from capital one back in 2017 will getting this account and keeping it in good standing help my case with capital one at all since the account is serviced by capital one????

in my case i iib 4 cap one cards totalling 5k. they recently let me back in and gave me a 300 platinum, but i was banned for over a year. i started with that same 300 kohls card. that particular card even though its backed by cap 1 it wont get you back in.

good news, that kohls card will grow. last month after my 8th statement i hit the cli button and they raised me to 700. i will soon pay my 3rd payment on the cap 1 platinum, im hoping for a cli increase in a few months.

Congrats! Yes this is a cap1 card so it should help you.
Cap1 is also VERY forgiving. Honestly I’ve burned them twice over the course of my life with multiple cards and they were the first ones to give me a decent amount of credit on my rebuild.
The Kohls Card is nice with all the extra coupons and stuff if you shop there. I think everyone starts out with that same 300 dollar limit but it can grow over time. I’ve maxed it out now at 3K (I believe that’s the highest limit they offer. And honestly who needs more than 3k worth of kohl’s at a time 😂)

Cap-1 states their policy is no new cards within 1 year of the CO and that includes BKed accounts. I think you are just fine with them, use this one responsibly and it should open more doors over time.
