Let me give you a little back story, back in Nov. 2015 I opened a Cap1 QS CC with $12K CL. Over the next couple of months I added an authorized user, who began to spend more monthly than allowed, so I requested a CL decrease to $5.5K because I was only using the card the pay bills and stayed in my sock drawer. Fast foward to this morning, I received an email stating my CL has been increased by $2.5K. I have been actively using CC's since 2008 and have never received an auto CLI.
😁 Congratulations on your 1st auto credit limit Open privacy (surprise)l increase!
Well go figure, here you are trying to squelch AU spending and there they (Cap1) are trying to encourage it. Hahaha! You may have found a method to their madness.
Congrats? (if you're happy about it.......CONGRATS!)
So what's the utl percentage been as of late?

My AU spends $500/month (the monthly allowed amount), my monthly bills average around $1k/month. Over the last two months I've been doing a lot of online shopping 😁 (and I mean ALOT), and purchased some airline tickets (3 total) and rented a car to attend a funeral. So the last two months I've spent btw $3.5 to 5k/month and have PIF.
Thanks for the dp's @L-TWT Yeah, that's true Cap1 fashion, big spend= cli's. Understandable of them but still....I always had to beg even with big spend. Good for you and Congrats again!
Congratulations on your Capital One auto-CLI!
Congrats, and hopefully your AU keeps things real going forward!
Congratulations!
