So,
I already have a Home Depot card since 2016 that has an $8,000 limit. There's a Lowes right across the street from it as well. I have never really shopped at Lowe's at all, its always been HD. Today, I decided that were gonna turn that tide and see what LOwe's is all about, keep hearing good things, not bad. The wife does want to remodel some of our kitchen, so she asked if we could apply for a Lowe's card since we never had one. I was actually trying to garden (we all know how that goes, the itch comes back). I went ahead and did the preapproval and was prequalified for a SL of $9,000 26.99 APR. Continuted one and once submitted, the dreaded 7-10 day popped up with a ref number. I was shocked. My scores are in the high 780's, UTL across all cards only 6%, 9 INQ on Transunion, total credit lines $196,100. I instantly called them and it was just a verification process. Once I talked to the rep I was approved for $9k and instantly a got an alert from trans union. Honestly, I was also looking to pad some more utilization to cross the $200,000 threshold.
I also have a Synchrony 2% World Premier Mastercard as well since 2011 (originally was a ToysRUs Credit Card that converted years ago, don't know if that factored in or not since Ive been with Synchrony for 10 years now)
This will now bump me up to $205,100 across all cards. Whew!
Congrats! Lowes is one of those that grows QUICK. (My fastest, IKEA is my second) Put a little spend on it hit the CLI love button every 3 months. I've worked mine up to $30k - Don't remember my starting CL, but I think it was lower than yours.
Congratulations on your Lowe's approval!
Congratulations on your approval!!
@RT209 Congrats!
If you call them the same day you can recon for a higher amount. If memory serves me correctly, Lowe's ceiling is $30K.
worth a shot if not wait 90 days.

My understanding is anything above $35k requires POI. I stopped at $30k just to avoid the trouble.
Congrats on your Lowe's card approval.
Awesome! Congratulations on your approval!
Congratulations🎉🎉🎉 Lowes has been one of my best cc's. 🙂 I've always been able to land an 18-24 month 0% financing just when I needed to replace windows, doors, appliances or just recently my 20+ yr old central AC🥰 Not to mention the everyday 5% savings. Very generous CLIs, I'm at 15k and will definelty try to grow it to 30k
