Congratulations! Very nice
I wouldn't close the other cards just yet. Keep them open and build the AAoA and that will help you in the long term. It is also good for your utilization. If any of them have AF, then I would do everything possible to upgrade them to accounts without annual fees. If need be close one to make the point to them you don't want fees and then wait and ask they remove the others. You can always reach out to the EO at CapOne if need be.
Congrats on the approval! I have one of my oldest cards with them from back in the day and it has grown nicely through the years
Update with Suncoast. New SL bumped from 500 to 4K. How do you like me now with my 80+ inquiries. Income verified at 7160 per month. Get R Done. Cap 1 cards, Merrick bank, and Barclay will bite the dust as a condition of this approval. They were high interest and only at 1k to 1.5k anyways.
When I first started working on my credit in 2014 I used Suncoast Credit Union as my main bank. I started with a secured loan of $500 over 6 months. After that I got a secured credit card for a year at a $500 limit. After a year I believe it graduated into a $2000 unsecured credit card. Then I eventually got it raised to $5000 and now $6400. The APR went from 12.9% to 10.9%. Suncoast allows you to draw the entire limit of the card at a 2% interest increase (12.9% in my case). I also just recently got approved for a 2.5% 20k vehicle loan for a 2017 Toyota Corolla L.
With that said, I joined NFCU recently and got blessed with a 15k CLOC and 1800 credit card. I'm torn between which one to make my main but I believe I'll be going with NFCU because of everything they offer but I'll keep money at Suncoast as well. Suncoast will seem conservative at first but they do finally open up their wallet if you're a long time member. They didn't even ask for POI for my vehicle loan which was kind of crazy.
Join NFCU if you haven't. Treat them both well and they will definitely be there when you need them the most for any type of situation that arises.

Congrats Scot, enjoy and definetly head over to the garden lol. The most dangerous apping comes from getting so many denials before to getting all these approvals now feeling. Now that you got your fix, time to get the natural high of growing those puppies with some nice sps and auto luvs
+1
OMG.. Love Suncoast. New Update. SL bumped from 4K to 6K and I get to keep my Sony Card thru Cap 1 open. My other 2 Cap 1 cards they will pay off, along with Barclay Apple, and Merrick Bank. Suncoast Pays off 5K with 1K available till I pay it down. Go Suncoast Go. How do you like me now with my 80+ inquiries. I will see if Cap 1 can transfer my available credit from my other 2 cards to the Sony card now. Apr at 14.9% and will decrease in time. I now have 3 CU. 1. NFCU 2. FCU 3. Suncoast.
I do agree, Suncoast is very very conservative bank. Took forever to get in with them. Off to the Garden now. Got my CC FIX on...
