Tip: I learned the hard way, but when asking LexisNexis to unfreeze your file, consider also asking them to unfreeze your SageStream file. Yes, they had two separate files on me
Below are the details of my story.
After applying for the AAA credit card, I received a letter from Comenity that I needed to unfreeze 4 CRA’s (I'm in California - so YMMV):
1. Equifax
2. Experian
3. Innovis
4. SageStream/LexisNexis.
I verified Equifax, Experian and Innovis were all unfrozen online, but called LexisNexis who confirmed verbally my records were not frozen. I applied again with Comenity - they did a 2nd hard pull on Equifax - and something was still frozen Unfortunately, Comenity could not tell me which CRA was frozen, they said to check all 4.
The next day, I called LexisNexis again and the rep said my LexisNexis record was fine, but my SageStream record was frozen.
This was the reason why Comenity could not process my application.
The rep unfroze my SageStream record and gave me a PIN number to use for future freezing / unfreezing. She also said the PIN number would affect both accounts (LexisNexis and SageStream).
In conclusion, Comenity did 3 hard-pulls of my Equifax report, but I was finally approved for $20k and am waiting for the “welcome kit” soon.
This has been some journey to finally get this approval. And with a nice beefy limit as well. Way to see it through.

Glad you got that resolved
Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
FYI --- when Comenity pulled my credit for the AAA card, the first was a hard pull, the second was a soft pull
I'm so grateful they did not do multiple hard pulls!
The free alerts from Citi were the first indication I knew something was different ....... in the screenshot below, under the "Reason" column, I guess "New Inquiry" means soft pull - confirmed with the CreditKarma screenshot only showing one pull.

Congratulations!
I had a similiar experience with the NFL card. I called Comenity and they agreed to delete the duplicate HP
Good information.
Going back in time, Sage Stream was a separate reporting unit. Until this post (haven't requested updated report copies), I did not know they were linked.
Good info and thank you for sharing. Congratulations on your approval with a strong SL !

Yes - they were acquired by Lexis Nexis 3-4 years ago but they still maintain their function as a secondary CRA independent of the legacy data mining/data consolidation/insurance/identity verification reporting services. One of the ways relevant to us that continues to manifest itself is that freezing and thawing of ones Sagestream credit report remains completely independent of freezing and thawing of ones Lexis Nexis consumer report.
