I know this has been said time and time again on the boards, but Chase NEVER forgets. Ever.
Decided to take the plunge and app earlier than anticipated to take advantage of the new $200 offer and got the 30-day messsage. Called in and was declined because of an account I had with them in my young, foolish college years in the late 90's. **gasp**. Called back with my CR in hand and was approved for a super low limit. Normally, I would have laughed at it, but with one of my goal cards being the CSP, I said thank you so emphatically the analyst must have looked at the phone in disbelief, wondering, "did she hear the limit I gave correctly?"
Knowing Chase and the fact that I had a CO with them 14 years ago, I took it like a champ and will rebuild my relationship with them slowly, but surely. Let the gardening begin!
Congrats your back in now treat it right for the CSP

Congrats! What's the CL? It's nice you're in with Chase again. Treat this card well and im sure it'll grow with you overtime
Thanks, guys! I'm gonna make them work for me.. after I put the work in with them first
Congratulations! I, too, am attempting to build my credit and just recently got approved for the Chase Freedom. Interesting fact that I haven't read from any of the posts about the Chase Freedom is that they also match an automatic 10% of your rewards points at the end of the year simply for having a Chase Checkings Account.
Congrats! I'm black listed, would love to get back in with them. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats!!! Wow, you are right after 14 years I would have thought Chase would have purged their records by now.

I would have thought so, too! But they were very serious. Even though I was approved, they started me with a <1k CL. I guess that's their way of saying "prove you're worth us giving you another chance" I'm tempted to ask for 1k when I call in to activate but am leary of it being another HP.
@aqualife - I'm considering opening an account and starting to direct deposit some of my paycheck there just to reap that very benefit! Thanks for the sharing
