I recently pre-qualified through lowes website. I decided to go ahead so I could take advantage of the 20% for new card members and the 5% off all future purchases and also promotional financing options. Overall it's a pretty good card, better than home depot from what I can tell. They pulled transunion for application. My TU score was around 660 at time of app. Only 1 inquiry in the last year on TU. I was approved! But initially for only $500. I decided to call and ask for a reconsideration of the credit line. I used a backdoor number I found here on myfico. When I called I basically just said $500 is not enough for what I would like to do with the card. When he asked me what I would like I only said $3,000 because I didn't want to seem greedy. He instantly approved ilthe $3,000 after a couple questions. Lol then I thought maybe I should have asked for more! No worries because I can always request another one down the line in 6 months or so and I am very grateful for the $3,000. I hope someone finds this data useful!
