Re: Lowes CLI

Your FICO 08 TU score went up 103 points?  (Mod Cut-This is inappropriate)

Re: Lowes CLI

TU was 754.  Should they have pulled Experian, it was 745.

Re: Lowes CLI

I got approved for Lowes last week and waiting for the card so I can call the number to get a higher limit but when i tried the same day that I got approved I was denied. My SL is 300 and TU score is 646...SO if I wait until I get my card does anyone here think I could at least get 2k to 3k CLI? You cant do much with 300 SL with Lowes...LOL

Re: Lowes CLI

Nitrov, I'm no huge fan of Synchrony, due to the interest rates they've charged me across the board, even after many years of always paying on time and far more than the minimun on all accounts:  JC Penny, Brandmart, and Care Credit that I have 6 more months to pay off before all of that accrued interest, again 29.9, hits.    I'll either pay it off or transfer it.

Until the near repo/modification comes off of my credit, which won't be for another 3 years, I'm doomed to paying higher interest on what credit I acquire, i know, but Synchrony was ridiculous!  But for Lowe's special financing on larger purchases, I wouldn't have done it.  Everything Synchrony was either paid off (Victoria Secret that I used only once for a purchase under $50) or balance transfered to 0% cards (JC Penny and Brandsmart).  I'm learning, slowly but surely; and again thanks to all of you guys!

Re: Lowes CLI

Sweet! I've been harassing hubby to ask Lowes CLI. He's had the card since Dec 2015, barely used it and PIF on due date.

Re: Lowes CLI

I will say this for Synchrony:  They are quite generous with their credit limits, and seem to be more forgiving of credit dings than most others.

As many have said, and I now well agree, it's always best to call and speak to someone in person.  I could hardly believe my ears when they gave me ten grand in Care Credit!  It's yet my highest credit limit.  The only  5 figures I have and in spite of the lates on the mortgate and a missed car payment.   I encourage your hubby to give it a shot!  Perhaps if you remind him that what increase he's given he doesn't have to use; it would just be nice to have it in case of emergencies like unexpected kitchen fires,  lol.

Go for it, and good luck!

Re: Lowes CLI

For CLI Lowe's will ALWAYS pull TU and nothing else. For applications depending on if you do it in-store or online or in what state they can pull Experian instead of Transunion.

Re: Lowes CLI

You're right.  I just received an alert from Experian, adding a new account.  Synchrony/Lowe's.  No point drop as yet for the hard pull, though because this is the 3rd hard pull since December I'm sure went from fair to poor, in seeking new credit.  Two of the five drop off soon.

Re: Lowes CLI

@MercyMe

You're in Texas right?

I'm applying with Lowe's online this Friday or Saturday. I would prefer they pull my TU, but my EX is above prime (TU is not yet) and 6pts higher than my TU and neither has an inquiry on my report.

Does anyone know if you apply online and Lowe's pulls your approval and starting CL with Experian if you call the UW right away will they pull TU? Since all SP, CLI requests are pulled from TU with Lowe's?

My TU will be clean on or before June 1st (42 days and counting) and that's when I want to ask for $25K from Lowe's.
