Wow.

Called back Macy's Credit department, I asked for the Club account and requested $10k again and they gave me the full $10k. All of this with just a SP. I really like how they're not that inquiry sensitive about this either and the woman even complimented me on my credit too. Haven't even used any of my Macys lines yet. Think it helped to have that CSP there too.

And next month, they really are merging all the non Macy's Amex CLs together but you'll be able to use the card for different financing options, etc from what the CS rep told me. Macy's Amex will remain its own CL. I'll have something even higher than what I had for Lowes and somewhere where I actually shop. Couldn't get any better than this. Easiest CLI ever.

Yes I did. I was completely surprised that they didn't counteroffer for the second one. They gave me the whole thing. Talk about one of the most generous store cards I've ever had. The whole thing about the merging accounts next month is completely true.

They told me the jewelry account is the Club account on the phone.

Ok thanks for the info it's really good to hear you got $20k in just two calls. I think even if you make a small purchase that's good enough, they just want some usage.

I just wasn't sure how small the purchases can be because that's what I'm gonna do with all the Macys lines. Put small charges on them and stuff to keep them active. Some people even just buy gum every once in a while with high TLs like these.

They told me I should see those accounts on the next statement or something. I think since the merge is coming up really soon that you wouldn't have to worry about putting charges onto it right away.
