It gave me the number to call also on day 32. I was denied. Even though my scores were higher than when I applied 32 days ago. They hard pulled EQ and they told me it would be a hard pull. Will try again myself in a few months. I did put 30% spend on it the first month and PIF before statement cut. Which I didn't know my statement date at the time. Hoping to some SP requests soon. Whether it's a denial or approval. Set my garden timeline back. I understand I should be prepared to receive a HP anytime I ask for credit though. Increases included. I read somewhere on here that the first one is always a HP. Might be some hidden method that they become SP after X amount of time?
@Whitneyy , I also had a Macys card when I was 18 and I am now 31 almost 32. The limit was only $400 but im pretty sure i didnt pay it... I was approved this past weekend for the Macys Amex so enough time must have passed for us!
Sorry about your CLI denial and HP. They told you ahead of time they would HP? I have read through alot of Macys posts here for CLI's and i have noticed a bit of a trend with the 31 day mark on the acct being a HP. Or at the very least having to call in. I wonder if its better to wait until 61 days? Hmm....I too am looking to grow this puppy and i am wondering what my best course will be. Personally if this one doesnt grow for me ill close it bc i really dont need a Macys card.

It was random for me for a while. I would get that message call in and get approved/denied for a CLI. Now I'm back to the using the website for CLIs.
Well I was denied and it was a hardpull.
I'll try in 90 days, if no - I can close. Not much to do with $200.
