Applied on Saturday. Initially received a 7-10 day message. Elan called Wednesday morning to confirm I submitted the application. They identified themselves as the bank through whom I applied when they called. Said it would be another 5-10 days for a decision by mail. Called the automated line late Wednesday afternoon and confirmed approval. Got the confirmation email this morning with $20k SL.
They pulled from TU. Not sure which model they used, but I was between 775-800 when they pulled.
I had 3 inquiries in the last 6 months: Fidelity card in Dec, two mortgage applications in Oct. Fidelity card and new mortgage, both in Dec, are my only new accounts in the last 6 months. No other new accounts nor inquiries on my TU in the 6 mons before that. Had a hard pull for a CU deposit account within the last 6-8 but that doesn't appear on TU; also had an AU on a new account of my wife's in Oct but that doesn't appear on my TU either.
Utilization under 5% on $230k+ total limit. AAoC 3 yrs 8 mon, oldest closed account over 20 yrs, oldest active account 18 yrs.
When filling out the application I used my total assets, not my assets with that institution. I keep next to nothing on deposit there. Didn't seem to have an impact.
There's another local bank where I have an account that also offers this card; both offer the Visa version. I went with the bank I did because they sent me a mailer that also specified 15 mons @ 0% in addition to the SUB. The website for the other bank mentioned nothing about an intro rate.
