From my experience with them, once it starts it keeps going. As long as you use their card every month, then you will get increases every 3 to 4 months. I was very happy with their card when I had it.
They can be very good to have for people with low score or damaged histories. With good payment and purchase history they will reward you with increases which are automatic and regular. They might not have the fanciest website, but it is functional and straight forward. For the most part their customer service is good, even if limited on some policies, but still generally polite.
(In case you are going to ask why I closed it, the answer is that it was a secured card. With their secure card you can never get you funds back and you always have to pay the AF, which is billed monthly. I kept it oppen longer than I wanted to for AAoaA and loyalty. At some point I just really wanted no AF and my money back.)

Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.
