They do give increases.  But they are few and far between.  And you can't request them.  Its always an auto cli

Congrats on the CLI.  They are a good starter card and they will grow.  Mine stated at $700 and ended at $3650 .   I just closed mine last week.  It felt great to tell the CSR to close it when they wouldn't waive the fee.   Since I opened it 8 years ago, my situation has chenged and I now have prime cards including Chase, Amex, Barclay's, and Cap !. The APR on Merrick is insane, mine was at 27%. That's with FICO scores between 780-800. Yikes! But as long as you PIF you should be good.
