Just wanted to share the info I have regarding this and thank the community bc I did research on here and saw plenty of positive reviews saying the limit was indeed doubled.
I got an offer in the mail for Merrick bank double your line. Limit $550 doubles after 7 months of on time payments. Annual fee $48 first year and billed $4 month thereafter. One time $75 account set up fee. My scores are temporarily at low 600s but I applied and was approved. They hard pulled Transunion.
I have a bk7 discharged jan 2020 and multiple other credit cards (5) now all with exceptional history (plus exceptional student loan and 2 other credit lines, dell and fingerhut all exceptional), so I am going to garden mostly and pay down the limits to get the score back up now I think.
I also got offered today in the mail a Fortiva card with a $350 credit limit 36% interest for purchases and cash advance, $85 annual fee first year, $39 after, maintenance fee 87 a year (7.25 a month) not billed the first year. Not going to take especially bc I read they won't increase limits so no reason. No benefits of any kind either.
Thanks again just wanted to share this info. Happy gardening!
Congratulations!
Congratulations on the new approval!

Grats on the Merrick approval ![]()
In my rebuild that started back in 2010, this was the only bank to decline me on a pre-approved offer, in fact it is the only decline of a pre approved offer I have had in my lifetime.

My Merrick card is very similar. I was going to cancel after a full year and I got more useful cards, but I found that I like the $4 monthly fee. I accidently paid all my cards to $0 and took a scoring hit. $4 is just enough to post and show usage and its worth it to me.
