Merrick CLI as predicted.....yes

Merrick Bank CC statement cut yesterday. Enrolled with their credit steps program. initial CL $500 and to double to $1000 after 7 months. Logged in this morning and the CL was increased to $1000 as agreed in the credit steps program.

Does anybody know if Merrick will do future CLI upon request or automatic? if so, what are the time frames?

automatic.   6 month increments.   use the card, keep your util low, or PIF, and the increases will come.

It was nice to see someone honor their CLI agreement. I know it was only a $500 increase. I only charge myFico membership on it every month and pay it off (after the statement cuts). The CLI did drop my utilization another 2%.

I would expect to see additional $500 CLI every 6 months as long as I keep balance low. I could run more through the account and would love to shift debt using BT from Merrick to Barclay.

My husband got a merrick card after his bankruptcy.  It has been a couple years now.  He gets an increase every 3 months and it varies between $300-$500 each time.

So he completed the credit steps program with the inital offer to double the credit line?

Do you use it frequently? May I ask what the limited started out as and where it is now?

I have other cards with $2K limits I use frequently but may have to shift some to Merrick account to justify the auto increases down the road.

Not sure about the credit steps program, but I started with $500 card from them as well.  Auto increased to $1000 at 6 months as other have mentioned.  I called a while back to ask about a CLI and they said they're all auto CLIs.  I'm due next month.  Was hoping to see another double, but I'll take 500.
