Just chiming in with my experience.  I started with the Platinum SL $1500 requested increase at 111 days and got $4000.  Used the same technique and apped for a second card and got an instant $20,000 (GoRewards).  My HOUSEHOLD income is 55k, my income alone only $34k.  This leads me to believe that there are other factors involved because I make very little money.  When I apply for credit I read very carefully to see if they're asking for HOUSEHOLD income or just my income alone.   Unfortunately, I can't remember which one they asked for at app.

They didn’t HP for the CLI. For my previous CLI requests (denials) they did pull Equifax.
