I was never planning on it, now, till later this next summer, being already having 3 new CC's in the last 6 months and the same for HP's. But with @user979797 post on the new preapp for BofA, specific cards, I thought why not give BofA Premium Rewards a shot now. Was approved on the Preapp (unfroze Transunion & Experian for Soft pulls). So right to full app, approved immediately for 12K, HP to Experian (location Arizona). A bit more than I need on the SL, but I'll eventually move some of that CL to my other 3 CCR's, to even them all out, when I PC this PR to another no FTF CCR in about 6 months.
So I thought, let's give US Bank another try on the preapp, before this new CC reports (otherwise, if it reports, it could be another 6 to 12 months to get). Wanting the Kroger Rewards Card. Knowing this soft and hard pull would be to TransUnion, instead. To my surprise, I was preapproved on the preapp (was not, just 1.5 months ago), right to the full app, approved for a SL of 18.5k. Ugggh, don't need that much CL, not for a maxiumum 3k mobile per year spend, maybe some in store on another 3k. I'll definitely be calling them tomorrow to reduce that CL to something more reasonable, like 6k.
Note: I did this backwards, normally I would say get the US Bank CC first then the BofA. But I didn't expect the preapp approvals, so it all was on a whim. Oh well, that's alot of velocity in 1 year, 5 CC's, but if they are going to give them to you with no penalty up front to try, why not go for it. Can always garden afterwards.

Congrats on the approval. I don't believe the PR can be pc'ed to the CCR card unless I am mistaken as thought I have read that somewhere although since you have 3 of them you maybe have done this before for the PR bonus? Got a nice setup of cards with PR status and appears the PR is the only AF card you have. BTW AA e-gift card is easy way to use travel credit if looking to knock out a net positive and you fly AA metal anywhere. Every Jan once I sett it reset I hit it to make it a net positive CC. Can't remember when I got the PR you might be able to double dip on the credit as can't remember if it was calendar year reset or anniversary date reset you might want to good that meaning you can get one possibly this year and one possibly come January if it resets on calendar year.

Yeah, @unsungivy just PC'ed a PR to CCR, recently, around the 6 month mark. There are other DP's on this being done. Thanks for the tips on using the travel credit!! I'll look into that reset date. It is my only AF CC and I do fly AA.

@ElvisCaprice Congratulations 🎉🎉 on both of your wonderful approvals. I have been eyeing that Kroger card myself ☺️.
Good for you. Congrats on your approvals. Enjoy your new cards.

Okay, my setup for long term rewards is pretty much set. Time for some fun, why not a churn. Hello Chase, long time no see. Chase Amazon Prime approved. 10k SL, SUB $250 auto to my Amazon account, I was at 11/24 for new accounts. HP Experian, needed TU unfrozen for the preapp. The grabbing hands grab all they can!!
6 new CC's in 6 months.

Congrats on your approvals for BofA Premium Rewards, US Bank Kroger Rewards, and Chase Amazon Prime @ElvisCaprice! Those are some very nice approvals. ![]()
I was going to mention the no-PC to CCR from PR, but I @CreditCuriosity and @unsungivy beat me to it and contradicted. I actually asked BofA a few years ago about that and they said points cards (PR-PRE-TR) were not available for product change to cash back cards like UCBR or CCR. Looks like they may have changed that policy.
Moreover, I'm so glad to see you shedding those outrageously high credit limits!!!
What in the world were they thinking!

He's weird like that. Very weird. But we're all special snowflakes around here.

It's not weird. There is a reasoning behind it, that I have often expounded upon. What is weird is why so many folks allow issuers to freely hand out extreme unnecessary SL's, even support it, when it's not in their interest or strategic advantage. Do you think the issuer has your interests in mind first or theirs?
