Mini-Spree Complete

In addition to the Freedom that I got approved for earlier today and posted about, I also just got two more approvals. A $7,500 Discover It and an AMEX PRG with a 50k bonus (via pre-qual on NerdWallet for that promo).

  • Scores before spree: EX 683, TU 689, EQ 749
  • One paid CO on EX/TU from 2 years ago fully paid with BofA, EX deleted it because of reporting issues from BofA. That's why the EX score is so different.
  • Before this spree, 1 CC with CapOne, $13.5k limit, one late payment 4 years ago and perfect otherwise, 7% utilization
  • 1 late payment reporting on a closed/fully-paid student loan
  • 2 open installment loans with balances under 9%
  • No new CCs in years so well under 5/24 rule
  • No public records, bankruptcy, liens, etc

Current Card Lineup Post-Spree:

  • Capital One Platinum $13.5k
  • Discover It $7.5k
  • AMEX PRG
  • Chase Freedom $4k

Plan is to enter the garden now and let these cards age before attempting to get the CSR sometime next year. Thrilled!

Congrats!

Were any of these from prequalification pages, or 100% cold apps?

All were pre-qualification. Discover and Chase were pre-qualified from their sites. AMEX was pre-qualified via NerdWallet.

What makes you ask? I'm curious what about that caught your interest. I'm wondering if you were thinking that I might not have been approved based on cold apps but that they had to take a risk based on the "firm offer of credit" that a true pre-qualification provides.

Oh I'm always curious when people get approved and wondering if they cold app'd or had prequalification offers!

ABCD is a vast collector of data points. I'm sure that he wanted that information for a spread sheet he has stuck back somewhere in the back of an old Commodore 64. but with that said he is pretty much brilliant at putting two and two together and getting solid four.

Starting Score: EQ497/TU496/EX 499
Currently: EQ 620 TU 654 EX 627
