My credit has really gotten better over the past 6 months, so I decided to try my chances at some better cards. First, I applied for an increase on my $1,000 limit bucketed AMEX Delta Gold card. No luck there so I proceeded to check for pre-qualified offers. I was pre-approved for the Blue Cash Preferred and the AMEX Gold card. Applied and both approved! The next day, I applied for a new credit card through my local credit union. I was approved for $5,000. Then I contacted my other credit union for an increase on my low limit $300 card and was also approved for $5,000. Since I was on roll, and Discover had been good to me for the past three months, I asked for another increase and was given an additional $500. For Discover, that makes a total of $2500 in increases since June. My new limit is $4500. But it doesn't end there. I've always wanted the Care Credit care but was always denied, until this morning. I was pre-qualified through the tool, so I continued to apply. I was approved for $2,500. I also applied for the Amazon Prime Signature card but got the 30 day message. I wanted to do all of these at once because I plan to garden for 8 months before purchasing a home next year. A breakdown of the approvals and current credit scores are below. UPDATE!! Received call from Chase this morning to verify my information for the Amazon Prime card and was instantly approved for $5,400! Woot woot!! Officially done now. Lol
