I’m not certain if, while I have their attention, I should also ask for a better CL. I don’t want to seem pushy or greedy. I really just don’t want to pay an annual fee anymore. I’ve paid it for a decade and without the benefit of rewards.
Plan B: I just moved my banking to PNC. I believe I can get 1.75% cashback with no annual fee there. I’ll head over to my branch if things don’t go my way with Capital One.
By all means ask for a CLI, INT% reduction, add 1 .5% rewards if it doesn't have it now

Thanks for the encouragement. I will! I do have the rewards already. Just got that last month. I'm not certain how much of an increase I'll ask for just yet. I suppose I have time to think over the weekend. My interest rate is currently at 13.9

Think big CLI because they will counter offer
Good luck
UPDATE:
Logged into my CapitalOne account. There is a member fee adjustment that posted 26Oct reversing the annual fee.
I have not been contacted at all. No email or phone call.
I did, however, get an email over the weekend inviting me to take a survey to rate my experience with their customer service on my most recent call. I took the survey and respectfully expressed my dissatisfaction with the inconsistent answers received from Cap1 CSRs.
I am not sure which action spurred my fee refund – EO email, survey submittal, or just dumb luck. Regardless, I got what I was seeking.
I do not expect any contact from EO, now that my problem has been resolved. However, I will update this post if I hear from them.
Thanks again to all for your concern and encouragement.
Now that I have so much credit and Cap One is such a pain to deal with, I will be closing this account. My CU continues to grow with me, Barclays also, and just was approved for first real "prime" card with a Citi Simplicity!!

Well, I just received a call from EO and he said they will do a manual review. I asked for my CL to be increased from $5000 to $10K. He said if they weren't able to increase full amount would I accept a partial increase. I said maybe. He said he would contact me in 3-5 business days. We'll see.
Good luck! I've got my fingers crossed for you![]()

More News…
So a nice gentleman from EO called me today. Capital One pulled the online chat transcript and confirmed my claim. Not only was my fee reversed, but he told me that I will never again be charged an annual fee.
He also asked me if there was anything else he could help me with, so I asked for a $10K CL. He promised to get back to me in a couple of days with a response. Of course I would accept any increase they come back with.
I will be sure to update on the outcome.
