I've been a little silent for a while, but wanted to share some good news! I've really been focused on my credit and my bankruptcy fell off of my credit last month (Discharged Chap 7 in May of 2012). What a LONG 10 years.
Anyways, I just had surgery and had to pay the hospital costs up front. I could have done their in-house financing, but it didn't seem like the right idea, so I paid $3400 on my CareCredit which currently has an $8k limit.
My local credit union (who is my main bank) has a cash back card with a rate of 12.74% at lowest rate, and no BT fees. I wanted to have this as backup in case I don't pay the 0% off by the 12 months, and thought this would be the perfect card.
I applied yesterday afternoon, and received an e-mail to sign disclosures and was told a loan officer would reach out in 1-2 days if needed. I didn't realize this was an auto approval, and about an hour later, logged into my online banking.
Behold I was approved at the lowest rate (12.74%) and for... $15,500!! This is my first double digit line on my own (have AU cards)!!
Very pleased and was able to go pick up the card in branch. Pinch me, I'm dreaming!
