Congrats on getting back in with Citi!

26 inquiries is quite a lot, how did you rack up that many?  It's pretty awesome that Citi still approved with that many inquiries, they seem hot and cold when it comes to credit-seeking behavior from what I've read but maybe they liked your scores and history enough to let it slide.

Currently Rebuilding, AZEO (EQ FICO 697 | TU FICO 714 | EX FICO8 707 as of May 2022) (Was 493 in early 2019), Goal Score: 750

It is quite a lot of inquiries but the majority of those inquiries are from last year. I've stopped applying a while  ago, only recently I applied and got their Home Depot card and would charge a small purchase here and there. Then curiously I applied to see if I would at least get their Best Buy branded card and got it. Mind you I CO three of their cards just over 2 years ago including another Best Buy card and ended up settling all of them. Paid those settlement off but for a while I was getting no love so I guess this means I'm at least back in with them.

I really have no need for the card but at least I know now I'm in. Eventually once we are able to travel and back to normal from all this nonsense I may end up grabbing one of their airline or rewards card maybe in a year or two. Until then, my Penfed PC Visa siggy's got my back. Also I closed a ton of cards recently and paid down and off most of them except the Penfed card. I only hold a small balance on my Penfed card and that's it. Nothing exciting in the credit card world right now....but I do like that X1 card. We'll see! 😉

Congrats on your BB store card. I'd say Citi is warming to you!! 👍🏻

Just received my BB Visa yesterday an setup online access. Probably the same UI you remember. Talk about basic and antiquated. City doesn't change!!

Hey make sure you keep doing this with your Home Depot card. I had my card for 8 years and it got closed for inactivity.  I used to only use it when I had a home project going on.  Right as I was making preparations for a new project I got the letter stating my account was now closed for inactivity.  Hindsight I wish I went in like you and made small purchases more often.
