My First Amex with 671

I just got aprrove for my first amex and they only did a soft pull ,the amex magnet with 2,000 CL. I feel like I'm ready for one of those points cards.

My stats

638 Equifax
Experian 671

Current cards

Paypal MC 5,000 CL
Amazon store card 5,500 CL
Capital one platinum 3,000 CL
PNC cash back rewards visa 500CL

Other loans

A close car loan on 2017 with 5,634 still to pay after repossession.

Personal bank loan 2017 for 5,000. All payment on time.

Students loans for about 14k all payment on time ,4 year under income base repayment plan .and my oldest account 12 years .

I hope not but If it's your first Amex - you should be expeting a hp usually from Experian.

Congrats. When it comes to amex, the only score that matters is Experian. What was that one? And you most definitely received a HP, you just don't know it because you're not monitoring it. I'm guessing those 2 scores were from credit karma.

If you already have a 2% Mastercard, why the need for a CM? I think you are going in reverse.

You are Right, I just saw it today from the capital one app. Not updates on karma and wallethub but it did show today on creditwise

I did it for the welcome bonus and the 0 apr ,but after the first year I dont think I will use this car as often as the paypal mc and it open the door for my to try next year one of their points cards .I travel about 1 or 2 times a year

Maybe you could update the thread with your EX Fico score when you get it -- that's the score that will be useful for others to follow. Vanatge 3.0 scores won't help others much with understanding your profile & thus acceptance.

I just found that my Experian score is 671 from FICO score 8 (from the PNC app). I will just wait until the end of the year to pull a real pay report .
