I'll keep it short and sweet. Been on a rebuilding journey (in earnest) since the beginning of June. I had an aggressive plan to pay down about 15k worth of debt before the beginning of Aug. Decided to apply for two of my goal cards on 7/27, the AMEX Platinum and the Bonvoy Brilliant. Instant approval for both cards!
Super excited to get in with Amex on my own. Plat: NPSL and Brilliant: $10k. They pulled EX and TU. Scores in sig aren't quite accurate. Scores are in the low 700s now. I have a CO from GM Financial still reporting, set to come off in Sept of this year.
I thank everyone here for helping me reach this milestone! Next stop Chase Sapphire Reserve later this fall after all my debt is paid off and that baddie falls off.

Thank you, and yea only a single EX pull.
ETA: I have a lot of wedding spend coming up. My fiance and I are trying to maximize the return on the money spent lol. We were going to pay cash, but this seems smarter.
Congrats on all of your rebuilding success so far, and on your fantastic Amex instant approvals!! I love being an Amex cardholder - they have some really good offers from time to time. Enjoy your new cards!
Congrats on your AMEX Platinum & Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant approvals
