Good afternoon everyone,
First post since applying for a Nav Fed CC. I have been a member for 25 years but only recently been using my account as my primary. Since reopening my account about a year ago I have transferred my direct deposit about 6months ago. I have been working on my credit this due to being denied the cash rewards card twice. I had not applied for any new credit for about 9 months or so, I would say since their last denial. Since working on my credit by paying down my cards to lower my utilization, the process has been up and down. I learned how to judge when my cards get reported so i would maintain low balances for that time frame. Fast forward to Nov 2019 I decided to reapply for the Cash rewards card ( my scores at the time were low 600's) but my income had increased. So I applied and BAM 15k limit! Highest ever! While I am thankful because this allows me to pay down other cards and just have ONE CC payment, I wondered when I was going to see the credit pull. Turns out they only did a soft pull and approved me. Has this happened to anyone else? I am just curious, however they did wait until after the second statement to report.
Thanks in advance,

Welcome to the forums and congrats on you approval!
Congrats on your Navy Federal approval!
I agree! after reading many posts I thought I would just check my inquiries after the cc reporting was done....nothing. but my discover IT card I got just in december did a hard pull with only a $1500 limit.
Congrats !
